Michael Martin Murphey

From Wildfire To Western

Imagine experiencing an up close and personal concert with Michael Martin Murphey ~ just him and his guitar. These are the shows he loves. He shares his hits, his cowboy wisdom (and logic) as well as his historic slant on the great American Cowboy. Murphey has traveled extensively and engaged in ranching throughout the West, but remained a Texas resident through it all, even as he topped the International and National Pop, Country, Bluegrass and Western music charts with such huge crossover hits as “Wildfire,” “Carolina In The Pines,” “What’s Forever For,” “Long Line of Love,” “Geronimo’s Cadillac” and “Cowboy Logic.”

Through all the chart-jumping and genre busting, Murphey has remained constant to an honest, sincere approach to his songwriting. He is no more country than rock, no more bluegrass than classical, no more folk than jazz. He is, rather, a true AMERICAN songwriter. His stubborn determination to be the best songwriter possible has led to his songs being covered by such artists as Lyle Lovett, John Denver, Kenny Rogers, Hoyt Axton, Cher, Manfred Mann, Michael Nesmith of the Monkees, and more.

What Our Clients Are Saying

I've had the good pleasure of working with Gary Good many times. He's a good friend as well as a business associate. If you're looking for good entertainment, if you're looking for someone you can depend on...    Well... go ahead and call Gary anyway!    Paul Williams
The Gatlin Brothers have done shows with Gary Good many times. He's a great guy - always takes care of business -  so call him for your entertainment needs. And every now and then, he'll even buy lunch!  Rudy Gatlin , The Gatlin Brothers
Gary, l want to take a minute to tell you what a difference you personally made in the lives of the kids and parents from the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame by arranging for them to attend Wynton Marsalis' sound check and to meet with him after his concert. The visits with Mr. Marsalis provided the personal attention and reinforcement these inner city music students need to motivate them to continue their studies. These students were energized; their parents were thrilled. Jim Epperson, Senior Vice President, AT&T
Gary, Thank you for saving the day! I appreciate your service & help. Vonnie Garner, Asst. VP OKC Community Relations, Bank Of Oklahoma
